Heroine of the Day #3 Katy Swartz

        Katy Swartz is a 17 year old girl. She used to live in Florida with her mom and dad, until he died from cancer. After that her mom decides to move to West Virginia. Here she discover that her neighbors aren't what they appear to be. Soon she is trust into a world that she thought only existed in books. I love that she is a book blogger. It was so much fun reading about Katy and how obsessed she is with books. It made her such a relatable character. She also is much more down to earth than other characters and not to mention bad ass. She is definitely one of my favorite characters. Plus her relationship with Daemon is so adorable. 

Appearance: Katy has long brown hair and large grey eyes. She has curvy hips and puffy lips. 

Personality: She is a book lover. She loves to read and blog. She likes gardening as it calms her nerves. She is very spunky and sassy, especially towards Daemon. She is very loyal and caring. She will stick up for them no matter what. She loves her mother deeply and hates upsetting her. She is strong. She has an inability to keep her mouth shut.

          Today for my #WCW I picked Alexandra “Alex” Andros from The Covenant Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Alex is a half-blood, a descendant of the demigods from the Greek mythology. As a half-blood her purpose is to protect Pures, the direct descendants of the Demigods. So in order to protect them, she must first train at the Covenant. She is the main character in the Covenant series. I absolutely love this character. She is so badass and sassy. I really enjoyed her character and I could Identify with her in a lot of things. She was an easy character to love and get into. There were so many things I admired about her, like her loyalty and how brave she was but at the same time how human and caring she could be. But of course there were many things that were a little annoying like the decisions she made sometimes. The character development was great. You could really see her grow up throughout the series. 

Apperance:

Alex is described to have an oval face shape, full lips, high cheekbones and eyebrows that are carefully arched over her eyes. She also has brown hair that is usually worn in a ponytail, and wide light brown eyes. Alex's hair is very long and wavy, but later on in Apollyon it is chopped off by Ares. Later in Sentinel, Olivia cuts her hair for her making it now rest on her shoulders, which made her hair wavier.

        Today for my #wcw I picked Sydney Sage from the Bloodlines series. Bloodline is a spin-off of the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Sydney Sage is an alchemist, a human charged with keeping the vampire world a secret from the humans. We first see her in Blood Promise. I love her character because she goes through a huge change through the series. She is one of the best character developments I’ve seen in a while. It was great seeing how she adapted to a world she was taught to hate. All throughout the series she displays great courage and loyalty. She reminds me of myself in a lot of ways; especially in my desire to do well in school and excel. But most of all in the loyalty she has for her friends. The struggle she goes through makes me love her so much. Is not only the physical struggle she goes through but also the mental struggle of being a human surrounded by vampires who she is supposed to hate and fear. Especially the magic they wield. So when she finds out that she can also work with magic. She must overcome her fear of magic and the rules set upon her.

Appearance: Sydney Sage has shoulder length dark blonde hair and warm brown eyes. Since she is an alchemist she has a golden lily tattooed on her cheek. She always dresses in black, gray or white. All her wardrobe is serious, making her look like an intern.

Personality: She is loyal and caring. She is always helping others and putting them before her needs. She is very serious about her duties and her studies. She is very intelligent and hardworking, but sometimes goes too far and overworks herself. Despite all of this she is very self-conscious of her looks and her weight especially when she is around other Moroi.

Quirks: I love how much she is into cars and caffeine. It’s such an endearing quality of hers.
