Book Boyfriend #4 William Herondale

William “Will” Herondale is one of the Shadow Hunters living in the London Institute during The Infernal Devices Trilogy. He is one of Tessa Gray’s main love interests. He is the son of Edmund Herondale, a former Shadowhunter, and Linette Owens a mundane. He had two sisters, Ella and Cecily. Cecily becomes a shadowhunter later in the series. His best friend and parabatai is Jem Carstairs.

Appearance:
Will is described to have deep violet-blue eyes and black hair that always falls in his eyes. He has high cheekbones, full lips and an elegant throat. He is muscular and well built. He is also very handsome and tall.

Personality:
Will comes across as arrogant and rude. He is always quick with his wit and sarcasm. But he uses all of this to keep people at arm’s length. In reality, he is actually caring and would do anything for those he loves. He is also very self-sacrificing. He is very well educated as he is always reading.

Quotes:

“Remember when you tried to convince me to feed a poultry pie to the mallards in the park to see if you could breed a race of cannibal ducks?"

"They ate it too," Will reminisced. "Bloodthirsty little beasts. Never trust a duck.”

“It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them.”

The Book Thief Book Review

Tittle: The Book Thief
Author: Markus Zusak
Publishing Details: Published march 14th by Knopf Books for young Readers
Genre: historical fiction/ ya
Format: Paperback Copy
Pages: 550

Goodreads description:

It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery.

Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids - as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement before he is marched to Dachau.

This is an unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul.

My Review:

The book is the story of Liesel, a German girl left to foster parents a few years before the outbreak of world

Book Boyfriend #3 Noah Shaw

Noah Elliot Shaw is Mara Dyer's main love interest. He has the ability to heal people and read their auras. He is seventeen years old and is originally from England, therefore he has an English accent. He moved to Miami, FL after his mother died.

Appearance: He is usually described to have incredibly dark chestnut messy hair and sloppily put together look, even though his family is wealthy. With a slight scruffy jaw and shin and deep grey eyes.

Personality: He is very charismatic and is liked by every girl in school. Which earned him a reputation as a player. Rumors say he has slept with every girl in school for the fun of it. But he later reveals to Mara that its a lie. He is very loyal to her and is the only one who believes her. He is always there for her and is very caring.

I love his sense of humor and personality. He is the bad boy you just want to love. But of course there is so much more to him than meets the eye. from his way of making everything he does seem sexy an sensual to the way he cares for Mara. Definitely one of my favorite book boyfriend, as he has it all, strength, cockiness, confidence and so much more.

Quotes:
“Did I just see you litter?"
"I'm driving a hybrid. It cancels out.” ~ The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

"Is there any point asking what you're going to do to me?"
He grinned wickedly. "Not really."
Fabulous. "Does it involve the use of a safe word?"
"That will depend entirely on you." Noah moved impossibly closer, just inches away. A few freckles disappeared into the scruff on his jaw. "I'll be gentle," Noah added. My breath caught in my throat as he looked at me from beneath those lashes, ruining me.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "You're evil."
In response, Noah smiled, and raised his finger to gently tap the tip of my nose. "And you're mine," he said, then walked away. ~ The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

Odd Thomas Book Review

Tittle: Odd Thomas
Author: Dean Koontz
Publishing Details: Published August 29th by Bantam
Genre: Paranormal/horror/thriller
Format: E-Book
Pages: 446
Series: Odd Thomas #1

Description:
"The dead don't talk. I don't know why." But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Odd Thomas thinks of himself as an ordinary guy, if possessed of a certain measure of talent at the Pico Mundo Grill and rapturously in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Stormy Llewellyn.
Maybe he has a gift, maybe it's a curse, Odd has never been sure, but he tries to do his best by the silent souls who seek him out. Sometimes they want justice, and Odd's otherworldly tips to Pico Mundo's sympathetic police chief, Wyatt Porter, can solve a crime. Occasionally they can prevent one. But this time it's different.
A mysterious man comes to town with a voracious appetite, a filing cabinet stuffed with information on the world's worst killers, and a pack of hyena-like shades following him wherever he goes. Who the man is and what he wants, not even Odd's deceased informants can tell him. His most ominous clue is a page ripped from a day-by-day calendar for August 15.

Today is August 14.
In less than twenty-four hours, Pico Mundo will awaken to a day of catastrophe. As evil coils under the searing desert sun, Odd travels through the shifting prisms of his world, struggling to avert a looming cataclysm with the aid of his soul mate and an unlikely community of allies that includes the King of Rock 'n' Roll. His account of two shattering days when past and present, fate and destiny converge is the stuff of our worst nightmares, and a testament by which to live: sanely if not safely, with courage, humor, and a full heart that even in the darkness must persevere.

My Review:
Odd Thomas is a short order cook in a restaurant in Pico Mundo, a small town in the Mohave Dessert. Despite how normal it sounds, he lives a very peculiar life. Odd can see ghosts. Not only that but he also possesses a instinct/ magnetism for people who are going to commit murders. Thanks to his talents he helps the police round up killers who would have gotten away with it .So what happens when a strange man turns up at the restaurant and orders breakfast. Suddenly Odd’s instinct kicks in and he knows he must follow this man and figure out what will be the terrible crime he wants to commit and put a stop to it.

Wow, this book was amazing. One of the best supernatural/suspense crime books I’ve ever read. The narrator is Odd himself and his voice is so captivating. I could definitely put myself in his shoes and experience everything perfectly. The way the story is told sucks you in and doesn’t let go until you’re emotionally spent. This book took me on a crazy rollercoaster ride. Odd Thomas is a wonderful page turner, with twist and turns at every moment. The characters are great. Odd is a mix between weird and adorable, philosophical and simple. I loved the witty banter between Stormy and him. Their relationship was so enjoyable. The only problem is that the novel has a lot of humor and cutesy moments which sort of clash with the seriousness that is supposed to be present during the book. However I understand why the author would do that, as it was necessary to deliver that terrific final twist that left me reeling long after I was done with the book. The humor distracts you from what is going to be happening.

The Summoning Book Review

Tittle: The Summoning
Author: Kelley Armstrong
Publishing Details: Published June 1st by Harper Collins
Genre: Paranormal romance, Urban Fantasy
Format: E-Book
Pages: 400
Series: Darkest Powers #1

Description:
My name is Chloe Saunders and my life will never be the same again. All I wanted was to make friends, meet boys, and keep on being ordinary. I don't even know what that means anymore. It all started on the day that I saw my first ghost - and the ghost saw me.
Now there are ghosts everywhere and they won't leave me alone. To top it all off, I somehow got myself locked up in Lyle House, a "special home" for troubled teens. Yet the home isn't what it seems. Don't tell anyone, but I think there might be more to my housemates than meets the eye. The question is, whose side are they on? it's up to me to figure out the dangerous secrets behind Lyle House...before its skeletons come back to haunt me.

My Review:

Since the death of her mother, Chloe Saunders has spent years moving from place to place. Now things are finally settling down. But then she has a mental breakdown in school and is sent to a group home. There she is diagnosed with schizophrenia, as she thinks ghost talk to her. She decides to get better and try to live a normal life anyways. However she starts to doubt that as she discovers that Lyle house isn't your typical group home. And as she gets to know the other kids there, she starts to wonder about herself and starts to doubt her diagnose.

This book was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I gave it a read. I really enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining it was. The suspense had me eating this book. I finished it within a day. I loved the spooky feel with its gruesome dead bodies and ghosts. In fact, this book captures your attention right from the start, with a creepy basement, a strange occurrence and a mean babysitter, all told in the voice of a young child. The scene sets the book up wonderfully. I really didn’t know where the story was going and I let it take me there and was happy with the plot. Though some things were very predictable, I still enjoyed reading the parts that led to them. The writing style was good and it flowed out well. The characters were a little annoying sometimes, but I still liked them. Personally, I thought this was a fun read. I will definitely be checking the rest of the series out and more of Kelley Armstrong’s books.
